Charles Raglund Bunnell's Brooklyn Bridge Serigraph
As a WPA artist from 1934-1941, Bunnell executed many commissioned murals in a somewhat abstracted figurative style. This serigraph is an abstracted view of Brooklyn Bridge and New York City lying beyond the bridge. Outline tracing of skyscrapers and Brooklyn Bridge creates a ghostly night view of forms, allowing for controlled foreground, middle ground and background. Original frame. Signed in lower right-hand corner. Very good condition.
