The Ironrite Health Chair was designed by Herman Sperlich for the Ironite Ironer Co. as a chair for female workers using mangle ironing machines. The chair has become part of MoMa's permanent collection. Chair has been redone in Allis-Chalmers orange and black. Chair is exceedingly comfortable with tilt back rest and a slight rocking motion. Great piece for utility or as a stand-alone sculptural single. Excellent condition.
