We are showcasing people who buy Midcentury at our store. Clients have good-naturedly consented to pose. We will periodically post photographs of buyers with their "stuff" either in the store or in their homes. You'll see folks from Richmond-- The Fan, Oregon Hill, West End, Far West End, across the river, North Side, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, Petersburg, and north to Fairfax and down Williamsburg and Norfolk way. Our faithful keep coming back to Metro Modern to talk, to look, to make comparisons with other sources and eventually to select a keeper for a special place in their home. Half the fun is knowing who gets what, where it's going and and why. We genuinely appreciate having repeat customers and we are happy to meet new ones. We thank you. All of YOU create our success.
Jennifer Rho who has a marvelous home at Stuart Circle, is busy every day with three young sons. She and husband Matt thought Tobia Scarpa's Soriana Lounge was the perfect relaxation chair whenever either could grab the opportunity. While Jennifer feels the lounge is hers, her sons, especially Samuel, cannot resist wanting to use it too.
Katherine Meyers wanted storage for her children, Nicholas and Alexandra. Katherine needed two small dressers
that fit specific spaces in her Lower Tuckahoe home. She loved the look of the Danish Rosewood case pieces because
they were both beautiful and the right scale.
A couple of days before getting married, Sharon Craig and Bill Montgomery found the time to also shop for some additional lighting for their Monument Avenue home. They liked the pair of Prescolite Pendants which would give additional lighting but also add a great modern look.
Elizabeth Hahn's daughter Ali was very pleased with the idea of buying the Charles Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman
for her dad, Matt as a birthday surprise. Ali promised to keep everything secret until the Eames was delivered to
their Fan house on the condition she be the first to tell her dad.
