We are showcasing people who buy Midcentury at our store. Clients have good-naturedly consented to pose. We will periodically post photographs of buyers with their "stuff" either in the store or in their homes. You'll see folks from Richmond-- The Fan, Oregon Hill, West End, Far West End, across the river, North Side, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, Petersburg, and north to Fairfax and down Williamsburg and Norfolk way. Our faithful keep coming back to Metro Modern to talk, to look, to make comparisons with other sources and eventually to select a keeper for a special place in their home. Half the fun is knowing who gets what, where it's going and and why. We genuinely appreciate having repeat customers and we are happy to meet new ones. We thank you. All of YOU create our success.

Rob Chapman
He is an avid hunter-gatherer. Geometric, clean lines intrigue and attract Rob Chapman whether he is selecting pieces for his home or for Modernicus, his Danish and Mid Century shop in Alexandria, Va. He was drawn to this pair of Art Deco Candle Holders which he thought would work beautifully with a large, wood table surface.
Erika Delph
Erika Delph likes the clean lines of Danish vintage modern design and had been hunting for a Danish Teak Sofa of a certain size for ages. She especially liked the lines and neutral fabric of the N. Eilersen Three Cushion Sofa for her South Side home where she can curl up with a book or her beloved cats and relax.
Angelica Rosales
Angelica Rosales ( on the left) wanted to have friends drop by her Fan home for casual patio dinners but had nowhere to sit them. She fell in love with the Danish Teak Patio Set, saying "I can have an outdoor dining and entertainment area for friends like Nina and her husband Abraham to visit, relax and enjoy leisurely meals and talk "-- especially when they come from Philadelphia just to see Angelica.
John-Lawrence Smith
John - Lawrence Smith, publisher of Cape Fear's Virginia Living has exquisite taste in his love of Italian suits, 18th century English and Virginia antiques. He also loves very fine Mid Century pieces. In refurbishing Cape Fear's public and reception spaces, John - Lawrence wanted a clean, bright and energized environment. The Italian glass and chrome campaign table in the reception area complements the Corbusier sofa and chairs in the waiting area. Cutty and Rex, spaniels par excellence, have given their nod of approval as well-- Mid Century goes beautifully with everything they wear.
