We are showcasing people who buy Midcentury at our store. Clients have good-naturedly consented to pose. We will periodically post photographs of buyers with their "stuff" either in the store or in their homes. You'll see folks from Richmond-- The Fan, Oregon Hill, West End, Far West End, across the river, North Side, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, Petersburg, and north to Fairfax and down Williamsburg and Norfolk way. Our faithful keep coming back to Metro Modern to talk, to look, to make comparisons with other sources and eventually to select a keeper for a special place in their home. Half the fun is knowing who gets what, where it's going and and why. We genuinely appreciate having repeat customers and we are happy to meet new ones. We thank you. All of YOU create our success.
Ned(4) and Martin(2) Gable may not really need an Arne Vodder desk just yet, but they sure like the idea of moving the floating drawer back and forth. Their parents, Eric and Rachel Gable think the desk will fit nicely into their Southside rancher and that the boys will soon grow to fit the desk. Stacy Feldman and Bob Folleck wanted bar stools with a seat height of 25 inches. They had been searching for not just the right height but also the right look. They chose these Arthur Umanoff stools which they said "not only look perfect but allow us to read the paper and drink coffee together" in their Fan house kitchen. Once Stephanie Pratt and Jim Kubicek moved into their Emerick Flats condo, one of their first priorities was a a sleek, high quality sofa. They wanted comfortable sitting for entertaining. They also secretly yearned for a sofa to be roomy enough for both of them to stretch out to watch TV or just relax or snooze. When they saw the Edward Wormley sofa, they knew it filled all their requirements.
