In Old Bon Air is a clustered neighborhood in an area called Highland Hills of mid century homes with their own neighborhood pool. These 1950s houses have common elements which are repeated in all the homes-- raised A-frame roof lines, covered car ports, great expanses of floor to ceiling glass, aluminum siding and large central brick hearths. Basic post and beam construction was utilized to keep the cost of homes low. These also have walk-out patios.
