Canada, 1950s
Beautiful pair of
string chairs designed by Jacques Guillon in 1953 for the Milan Triennial Art & Design Show. Chairs have multiple woods utilized in backs and legs with inserted inlays and well placed joinery. Original strong orange/red string was strung in a stitch pattern along sides of both seats and backs. Very good vintage condition.
