USA, 1960s
As part of the Counter Culture of the 1960s, several companies like Scott Paper and Mars began production of “disposable” and inexpensive paper dresses. Dresses were made of a paper-like celluloid. Dress designs echoed
hippie trends of flowers, op art, geometrics or multiple images. This particular dress was folded and never used. Fun to display— even if not to wear! Very good vintage condition.
