Metro Modern is pleased to present recent artistic works by Monica Rao, a Richmond artist. Although Monica works in every medium-- paper, acrylic, mixed media and print— we are showcasing four of Monica’s recent abstract acrylic and mixed media paintings. All four paintings demonstrate Monica’s versatile use of brushstrokes and placement of color. Each painting is unique in composition and color palette.

  1. Entering Fifth Dimension (24”x48”) an acrylic painting is strewn with vibrant blues, greens and touches of magenta swirls SOLD!
  2. Rajasthan Too (24”x36”) an acrylic painting utilizes geometric strong color blocks of red, blue with smaller insertions of lavender and yellow SOLD!
  3. Higher Goals (24”x48”) an acrylic painting reveals a dream landscape—almost Japanese-like in delicate brushstrokes of indigo blue penetrated by lines of red and orange SOLD!
  4. Royal Falls (36”x24”) a mixed media & acrylic painting has heavily applied mixed media colors of red, yellows and blues which cascade vertically in a brilliant waterfall of color SOLD!
