This early Eames lounge and ottoman is black leather with down-filled cushions. The veneer rosewood is dark, matched Brazilian on both chair and ottoman and was only used in early production chairs. All metal parts are made of cast aluminum alloy. Lounge seat is balanced on a five-star die-cast aluminum base. The lounge base has a swivel mechanism, and the feet adjust for floor irregularities. Ottoman has a four leg base. Die-cast aluminum braces comprise the back and bottom supports. Manufactured by Herman Miller. Leather is supple and in prime condition. Overall very good condition. Early labels attached.
