Originally designed in 1807 by Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi, this style of chair continues to have wide appeal and use for special occasions. The chair frame is solid brass. Chair back has four decorative stretchers done in an entwined fish design. Thin stecchino legs and original red velvet add to the chair's whimsy. Great for additional seating or conversation piece. Very good condition.
