Widely listed Julius Bloch was part of the Philadelphia Academy of Art in the 1950s. Oil on canvas captures an arrested moment easily understood by viewer. Deep blues are roughly outlined with same color as top background of painting. Clever use of green creates a middle ground for the women's blue dresses and blues echoed in table cloth and coffee pot and cups. Women are immersed in
some very serious talk. Artist whimsically drew a pen design on original frame. Very good vintage condition.
