Van Holsen was an artist at the Philadelphia Academy of Art when she produced The Pool. Scene depicts a very large natatorium with swimmers. Each swimmer is shown in a unique swimming pose-- no two are alike. Blue water, thinly drawn bodies and pale flesh focus the eye on form. Artwork is artist signed, 1 of 25 in original frame and in very good vintage condition.
